Book Buddy - school sculpture commission 2007
Giant sculpture celebrating the joy of reading books for the new school reception area. Pupils selected their favourite books and then collaged a page depicting characters. Favourite phrases and sentences form textual tentacles meandering out beyond the sculpture onto the walls of the building. Pupils are able to sit within the pages of the sculpture and have a quiet corner to read. A coffee table was also created for the new library from stacks of old, unwanted books.
